Akpene Diata Hoggar is a Ghanaian creative, entrepreneur and social activist living in Accra. Her aspirations to become a global change maker inspired her entry into Miss Universe Ghana, winning her the title in 2018 and going on to represent her country in Bangkok,Thailand during the 2018 Miss Universe contest. She had been featured in Vogue Thailand, Refinery29UK, Daily Mail UK, Glitz Africa, Enjoy Magazine, Daily Graphic, MyJoyOnline, Ghana Web and many more.

A consummate innovator and a firm believer in the youth and women as a catalyst for economic growth, she co-founded Creatives Anonymous Gh in 2017, a creative career guide for the African youth. Hoggar also established Peer Relief, a youth-oriented initiative that seeks to bring mental health awareness to the forefront of national attention. Akpene is focused on creating social impact through creativity and storytelling through her creative agency Sundiata Studios. 

Beyond her entrepreneurship and social activism, Akpene enjoys empowering the next generation of girls in Africa. Her recent nationwide project, DSKVRD, introduces girls in underprivileged communities in Ghana  to coding and soft skills. As an avid lover of life and a self discovery evangelist, Akpene shares her afrocentric style, colorful thoughts through her blog, Sun Discoveries under the alias Sundiata.
